In the 2014-2015 phase of Come Make Your Mark, the focus had shifted from an awareness campaign into a drive to recruit people to live and work in the NWT. In the modern business landscape, social media plays a tremendous role in recruiting employees, so Tait developed a social media campaign aimed at getting new residents to move up to the NWT.
From the outset, Tait wanted to design a campaign that was fun, yet informative; one that showcased the NWT as a great place to live and work. We started by planning the types of Facebook posts we would use for Come Make Your Mark and then developed a series of graphics that could be used for each type of post. Posts included job openings, stories from residents, interview tips, interesting links, and tips for moving to the NWT. When Come Make Your Mark staff travelled to another city to attend job fairs, Tait posted targeted ads on Facebook to help increase awareness and engagement.
Tait regularly tracked statistics from Facebook and Twitter such as post engagement, shares and likes/followers. To gain even more insight, we also produced a Tait Online Intelligence report that examined how people were talking online about Come Make Your Mark and moving to the NWT.
