Public/media relations

Public and media relations build something you can’t get from advertising alone: trust. Things like media coverage, articles in publications and connecting in large and small groups with your audience can help you communicate in compelling ways. Of course, dealing with the media and the public also has risks, and it takes experience and finesse to do it well.

Tait consultants have years of experience and a well-equipped toolbox to help you hone in on your communications goals first, then select the right tools and tactics to get the job done.

What we bring to the table:

Det’on Cho newsletter and community report

Det’on Cho Corporation has hundreds of employees, many of whom work at the NWT’s diamond mines, which can make it difficult to identify with their employer. Tait suggested a quarterly newsletter as an easy way for employees and Yellowknives Dene members to stay in touch with Det’on Cho. To expand on this communication, Tait also produced a biannual “community report” that highlighted the successes of Det’on Cho companies.

De Beers Canada media skills workshop

De Beers is a company that is often in the news. De Beers’ senior management team receives annual media training to keep their skills sharp, so that they are always ready when the media comes calling.
Tait Communication took the time to create media interview questions based on real and current issues affecting De Beers, helping its executives to begin the thinking around messaging and positioning of these issues in the public realm.
