GNWT Department of Health and Social Services: Social Workers

Challenge

The work of social workers is not well understood in the NWT. Social workers are perceived as people who take away children. The Department of Health and Social Services wanted to paint a more balanced image through video.

Solution

Working with a small budget, Tait added a human touch to social work by showcasing individuals who love their jobs telling viewers why. Two 30-second videos were created. Using the multi-tasking talents of Tait’s video producer, who operated two cameras and sound equipment, and with a client representative asking questions, the positive and upbeat videos were well received by social workers across the NWT.
